Esabalu, a tribute to my grandmother and her legacy. My grandmother has fed the orphaned children of her Kenyan village, Esabalu, for decades—first informally, and now through the Mundia Academy of Excellence. Esabalu (which fittingly lies on the Equator) is a center of inspiration for my family—a place where our ancestors nurtured the soil, preparing the grounds for generations of ingenuity.

In conversation with my father, he called it "a place of spirituality where people discover they are meant for a higher calling... the foundation on which people meet before they go out to do great things." Esabalu is the root, and I am grateful for my family's blessing as I take on this name.
